Welcome from the Head of School

Welcome to Rushbrook Primary Academy. We are very proud of our school, our pupils and the diverse community we serve here in Gorton. At Rushbrook, we believe in developing skills that enable our pupils to be happy, independent and confident learners. Our curriculum provides opportunities for collaborative learning and encourages children to follow their inquisitive nature. This is complimented by our enrichment experiences which widen children’s horizons and raise aspirations. Lessons promote curiosity, creativity and risk taking. We believe in educating the whole child so that children are reflective and resilient individuals who have a love of learning.

All our staff engage in bespoke Continuous Professional Development to ensure that their skills, talents and interests are nurtured. Wellbeing for both our pupils and staff is crucial in ensuring we have a happy, motivated school community. Mindfulness, Emotional Literacy and an on-site school counsellor for pupils, staff and parents/ carers are just few ways in which we support good mental health. We offer a variety of adult learning classes for our parents/ carers such as English/ Maths GCSEs, a parenting course and female fitness mentoring classes.

We look forward to welcoming you at a school event soon. Please check out the calendar on our home page for more information or pop in and speak to a member of staff on Reception.
