National Football Museum – Autism Friendly Opening
Back to article list

9th March 2018
As part of our ongoing commitment to making football accessible for all, the National Football Museum is staging its first autism-friendly early opening onSunday 18 March between 9am and 10:30am, providing a calm and relaxed environment for visitors with autism.

During this time, sound levels will be reduced to a minimum, a quiet room will be available for use, and a range of free activities will be held in the Hall of Fame and on the galleries, including crafts, handling tables and trails.

All of our Football Plus+ interactives will be available to play free of charge during this period. These activities are suitable for children aged 5-16 years with their parents or carer.

We aim to stage these autism-friendly early openings on a monthly basis. Please check our What’s On page for the latest information.
